Government urged to review welfare cuts as child poverty increases in Australia

'Back in 1987, former Prime Minister Bob Hawke vowed to end child poverty by 1990. Now, the number of Australian children living in poverty is growing.'

'Nearly 20 per cent of kids don't have enough clothing or food and more than one in five has gone a whole day without having something fresh to eat in the past year.'
